The float-valve crude distillation tower is modified and improved from bubble-cap tower. Chimney and bubble cap are removed. A float valve is mounted on the tower plate opening, and moves up and down with the gas flow, so as to fix the gas slot speed at a certain value. After such improvement, float-valve dominates bubble-cap tower in terms of operating flexibility, tower plate efficiency, pressure drop, production capacity and equipment costs. The crude distillation tower is mainly designed to separate alcohol from vinasse in the fermented mash in the fermentation section.
